Division 2 - Cardigan Res 0 v 2 New Quay Res
Having lost the last two home games undeservedly, Cardigan Res fancied their chances against New Quay Res. However having had to reshuffle the team once again due to players being unavailable, Cardigan had to play a couple of players coming back from injuries and with only having the one sub it was always going to be a tough ask.
But Cardigan got off to a good start, having a few decent opportunities, but failing to hit the target. With Cardigan failing to capatalise, New Quay gained some confidence and it was the away side that took the lead just before half time, following some poor marking at a set piece from Cardigan.
With plenty to play for, Cardigan came out strong from the interval and again looked dangerous. Midway through the second half New Quay managed to increase their lead with a cross-come shot from the touch line that looped over the goalkeeper Mike Jones into the top corner.
With legs tiring all over the parc and with limited options, Cardigan failed to trouble the goalkeeper and it was New Quay who came out worthy winners at the end of the game.
